About Teddy
Teddy came into the world on the 17th of July 2020, following a gruelling 39-hour labour. Upon his arrival, it became evident that he was in critical condition—unable to breathe independently and lacking muscle tone. Teddy endured a severe brain injury during birth, diagnosed as Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE).

Swiftly, Teddy was transferred to Leicester Royal Infirmary hospital, where he spent six weeks in a high-dependency neonatal ward undergoing various tests to assess his condition. Following this period, he returned to Northampton General Hospital, spending an additional week before being discharged. Among the tests conducted in Leicester was a genetics examination, revealing Teddy's diagnosis of Early Infantile Epileptic Encephalopathy (EIEE) at just 10 weeks old.

Owing to his conditions, Teddy relies entirely on tube feeding through Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG). He also requires regular physiotherapy to promote muscle tone and addresses various other additional needs.

Presently, Teddy is under the care of 15 professionals assisting in his development. Despite the invaluable support from the National Health Service (NHS), not all essential therapies are funded through them.
Your generous donations will contribute to Teddy's well-being, facilitating private physiotherapy, acquiring adapted toys, hydrotherapy, and more.
Thank you for supporting Teddy's journey.

Warm regards, Teddy, Ellie, and Russell
